Product Description

As the world appears to be spiraling out of control, Spiritual Prepper helps you focus your spirituality, morality, and faith in these troubled times.

Religious liberty is under attack. Immorality is the standard. Christians are being persecuted. The church is struggling because it’s been getting solutions from the wrong places. We shouldn’t be surprised about these current conditions, but we are.

Spiritual Prepper provides a fresh perspective on end-time prophecy by drawing out the spiritual effects of natural disasters, the Antichrist, the mark of the beast, topics like the spiritual implication of identifying with Christianity (2 Peter 3:3), and gravitating to messages you want to hear (2 Tim. 4:3-4).

The biblical prophecies that explain these events and could help us cope have been overshadowed. Spiritual Prepper brings to light and makes relevant the forgotten prophecies that explain that men will take advantage of women (2 Tim. 3:6), Christians will quench the power of the Holy Spirit (2 Tim 3:1-5), believers will betray fellow believers (Matt. 24:3-13), and more.

Spiritual Prepper is a guide to families and churches who need encouragement in the face of loved ones who have turned away from God and their faith. As the fallen word races towards the day of judgment, the time to be prepared spiritually is now. There will come a time when a spiritual disaster hits and we have to remain faithful. The goal is that you’d persevere and remain faithful. That on the day you see the Lord, you’d hear, “well done my good and faithful servant.”

*ENDORSEMENTS*

In this challenging and sobering book, Jake exposes the Christian subculture in 21st century America to biblical and contemporary reality. He lovingly removes dangerous illusions, which have collectively become a seemingly inescapable hindrance to genuine spiritual growth for many Christians in America today. Jake reminds Christians that we are pilgrims on a difficult but right road, making the journey towards a better country and a reward incomparable. Every Christian who sometimes (or regularly) confuses the American Dream with true spiritual success will benefit from reading this helpful and practical resource.

—Marc Minter, Lead Pastor First Baptist Church of Diana, Texas, and Team Impact Team Leader

I love Jake's fearless, hot heart for God. In Spiritual Prepper, you won't find a courage with any swagger whatsoever. On the contrary, you will be humbly encouraged to stand up to whatever the world and the devil's dark forces throw at you.

In an age of moral and spiritual decline, Christians face dangers from every direction. Sometimes the biggest danger is their denial or lack of awareness of the challenges that surround them. As church attendance declines and large portions of the millennial generation fall away from faith, it can be tempting to give in to discouragement or despair. However, in Spiritual Prepper Jake McCandless offers reasons for hope. Faith does not have to fade. Just as doomsday preppers make checklists of supplies for physical survival, this book offers checklists for spiritual survival. McCandless shows readers how to get ready to survive and overcome persecution, trials, temptations, false teaching, and other spiritual crises. His prophetic and loving voice is exactly the wake-up call the church needs today.

—Joseph Bentz, author of Nothing is Wasted

Spiritual Prepper is a call to action for pastors, parents, professors, and everyone else who claims to know Christ as Savior. This book may disturb you; It will absolutely challenge you; but most of all it will compel you to answer one crucial question: Have you adequately ‘prepped’ your children, grandchildren, students, and friends for the impending Spiritual doomsday? If you believe the truth of God’s inerrant word, you cannot ignore that question. Read this book—and get ready for battle.

—Terry Kimbrow, President, Central Baptist College, Conway, Arkansas

I've known Jake for many years, and his wisdom has always surpassed his years. That fact is very evident in Spiritual Prepper. Prophecy can be a scary dive into the deep unknown for many people, and that's why I believe many choose to steer clear of the topic. However, Jake has done an amazing job of making prophecy understandable and relatable to every day life, but at the same time keeping the focus on having a steadfast, unshakable relationship with Christ. This book is a great read for everyone, from being an encouragement to new Christians to being an excellent refresher course for those more seasoned in their faith. I believe I'll be rereading this one for years to come.—Ken Reed, Seventh Day Slumber
