by Rabbi Barney Kasdan
The biblical holy days are not just for Jews. Christians, too, can receive the blessing of these glorious days, the greatest objects lessons in the Bible. God gave each day to teach his people about him and his relationship to them. From the Sabbath, which pictures eternity, to the popular holiday, Hanukkah, mentioned by name only in the gospel of John, the special times were set apart to bless the people of God.
In this book, Barney Kasdan, leader of one of the world`s largest messianic Jewish congregations, explains every holy day described in Scripture. He teaches about the major and minor holy days, ever mindful that he is writing to both Jews and Christians. Beginning with the Sabbath, the first holy day revealed in Scripture, he writes about Passover, Firstfruits, Pentecost, Trumpets, the Day of Atonement, the Feast of Tabernacles, Hanukkah and Purim (the special day given in the time of Queen Esther). Each chapter offers historical background, traditional Jewish observance, relevance to the New Testament, prophetic significance and a practical guide for believers, including recipes, songs and crafts. There are other books on the same subject but this one goes beyond them all. It is written by a messianic Jew, a Jew who trusts Yeshua (Jesus). Who better to explain God`s Appointed Times?

ÌÎÌ_ÌÎ_ÌÎÌ_Ì´å«This is an excellent resource for those wishing to understand God's revelation of His plan through the feasts of Israel. Barney Kasdan writes in an easy-to-read format. It wasn't until I read this book that I understood the deeper meaning of communion (the Lord's supper). By understanding Passover and its significance in God's plan, I understood that the cup we drink from in the communion service was the Cup of Redemption in the Passover seder. All of the feasts point to Messiah. This little book will enrich your faith. I have purchased dozens over the years to give them to friends. Excellent resource!!ÌÎÌ_ÌÎ_ÌÎÌ_ÌÎå´ ÌÎÌ_ÌÎ_ÌÎå«Ì´å Gwen

ÌÎÌ_ÌÎ_ÌÎÌ_Ì´å«This book explains the Biblical, historical and current practices of God's appointed feasts, and gives instruction for believers in Messiah who want to celebrate either at home or with a local congregation. It does a lot of demystification and provides practical tips, including recipes. It's a must.ÌÎÌ_ÌÎ_ÌÎÌ_ÌÎå´ ÌÎÌ_ÌÎ_ÌÎå«Ì´å Yvonne Lee
