Master multitasker Dr. Lisa Leland (Candice Cameron Bure) is a successful surgeon on her way across country to launch a new practice with her equally brilliant doctor boyfriend. The only thing standing between Dr. Lisa Leland and the wedding of her dreams in the Hamptons is a 2,600-mile drive from Los Angeles to Long Island. However, her trip goes off course when she has a run-in with a small town cop and is subsequently sentenced to community service in Normal, N.C. Sentenced to serve three days as the town's doctor, Lisa has her world turned upside down. Stuck in the middle of nowhere with no cell reception, Wi-Fi or even credit card access, Leland does her time by filling in for the townÌÎÌ_ÌÎ_ÌÎå«Ì´åÇs doctor, and begins to discover that a normal life may just be what she is looking for.
ÌÎÌ_ÌÎ_ÌÎÌ_Ì´å«This is a wonderful film with the message that ÌÎÌ_ÌÎ_ÌÎÌ_ÌÎÌ¥ItÌÎÌ_ÌÎ_ÌÎå«Ì´åÇs not about making a living but making a life.ÌÎÌ_ÌÎ_ÌÎå«Ì´åÇ Dr. Lisa Leland learns this lesson when she speeds through Normal, Tennessee, and the officer checks her license to learn that she has ignored 23 parking tickets! She owes $2000 but the local judge, just in from fishing, gives her a break and allows her to do 24 hours of community service instead. The judge also happens to be the local pastor as well as doctor. In fact, he is called ÌÎÌ_ÌÎ_ÌÎÌ_ÌÎÌ¥DocÌÎÌ_ÌÎ_ÌÎå«Ì´åÇ by the community. He sees in Lisa a possible successor. But Lisa is headed for Long Island, New York, and has been seeing a doctor. Still, when she meets a local man named Lucas Craig, in spite of them bumping heads at first, she finds herself attracted to him.
ÌÎÌ_ÌÎ_ÌÎÌ_Ì´å«This inspiring movie is about following oneÌÎÌ_ÌÎ_ÌÎå«Ì´åÇs heart and enjoying the simple things in life, in other words making a life and not just a living. Candace Cameron Bure and Trevor St. John are terrific as Lisa and Lucas. We are pleased to award our Dove ÌÎÌ_ÌÎ_ÌÎÌ_Ì´å«Family-ApprovedÌÎÌ_ÌÎ_ÌÎÌ_ÌÎå´ Seal and five Doves, our best rating, to this film.ÌÎÌ_ÌÎ_ÌÎÌ_ÌÎå´ ÌÎÌ_ÌÎ_ÌÎå«Ì´å Edwin L.
