When God Doesn't Make Sense (Softcover)
By James C. Dobson
With more than 1 million copies sold, "When God Doesn’t Make Sense" is an immensely practical book for those who are struggling with trials and heartaches they can’t understand. Why does disease, natural disaster, divorce, rejection, death or some other sorrow seep into our lives when we are trying to serve the Lord? It just doesn’t seem fair!
This book deals unflinchingly with life’s most troubling question – “Why?” Drawing on his long experience as a Christian psychologist and family counselor, Dr. Dobson brings hope to those who have almost given up. "When God Doesn’t Make Sense" also helps believers avoid the “betrayal barrier” – the sense that God is abandoning them amid the storms of life.
This new edition of Dobson’s Gold Medallion Award winner comes with a new foreword by R.T. Kendall.

“When God doesn't make sense to us, we are likely to feel betrayed by Him. This feeling of betrayal will build a barrier between us and God. Once this barrier is built, it can be extremely difficult to regain trust in God. … This book is replete with touching stories, examples, and perceptive insights that can be helpful in dealing with difficult circumstances.” – Stephen and Joyce Kramar
“An incredible book that faces tough questions for those of you who believe in Him yet are struggling through a difficult situation with no easy answers. It reaches deep to the heart and allows a heart of sorrow to turn into a heart of courage and trust.” – Megan Long, Cincinnati, Ohio
“I come across this book in a very crucial moment in my life and reading this book gave the strength that I needed to carry on. In several occasion I cried because the histories are real and touching. My heart was very sore, my mind confused because of so many things happening but as I read the book, I have learned that God is God and in control of everything.” – Vincent Christopher, South Africa
“A friend from church gave me this book as my husband and I were struggling with heartache and trials as we were trying to keep our faith and understand why our son was in the hospital dying as a result of a head on collision which was caused by a drunken driver. … Dr Dobson brought hope to us through this book. I purchased two copies of this and gave them to friends who were also dealing with loved ones that had been in automobile accidents.” – J.C. Williams, R.N., Atlanta, Ga.
