The Mark (DVD)
Craig Sheffer (“A River Runs Through it”), Eric Roberts (“The Dark Knight”), Gary Daniels (“The Expendables”), Sonia Couling, Sarah Deakins (“Final Cut”) and Carey Scott (“Jerusalem Countdown”) star in the action-packed endtimes thriller “The Mark.”
Working for a security contracting agency in his years after service in the United States Army, Chad Turner (Sheffer) finds himself surgically implanted with a groundbreaking piece of technology on a commercial 747 flight on its way to Berlin. In route, the plane is hijacked by Joseph Pike (Gary Daniels), a ruthless mercenary, who is looking to capture Chad and turn his implant over to a mysterious political figure. In the fight for his life Chad comes to understand the reality of God’s plan and that he is now branded with the Mark of the Beast.
“It is great to see a Christian film that unabashedly says what it wants. Its message of truth is clear.” – Andrea McAteer, ChristianAnswers.net
“This movie has a strong faith-based message and points to Christ as mankind's future and only hope. It should be noted that there are moments of strong violence in the film including people being shot and a couple of characters display very bloody wounds and the blood flows on their clothes and on a man's hands. Several people do die. Despite the violent moments there are strong themes of faith so we are awarding our Faith Based Seal to the movie with a caution for violence.” – Edwin L. Carpenter, The Dove Foundation
“THE MARK is a highly entertaining action thriller. … It has a very positive Christian worldview with themes of forgiveness and redemption. Jesus Christ is extolled and the Gospel is presented in conversion scene with prayer. There is some action violence that requires a light caution. Otherwise, THE MARK is a very wholesome, redemptive action movie.” – MOVIEGUIDE®
“There have been a number of movies about The Mark – referring to ‘the mark of the beast’ in Revelations in the Bible – but this one is really good. And quite different than others of the same title. … What makes this thriller interesting is that … Chad was not a Christ-follower, not even a believer when the implant was inserted. He had heard the Gospel several times from his brother, but had not taken it as a serious option. But while on Flight 747, with a chip planted in his arm, and an evil power-play jostling for his life, his opinion drastically shifted from an unbeliever to a desperate seeker of truth.” – Janey DeMeo, The Examiner
