The God of the Mountain (Paperback)
Penny Cox Caldwell
Where is Mount Sinai? "The Exodus Conspiracy Mountain of Fire" and numerous other films have been produced about the search for and amazing discovery of the real Mount Sinai, but there has been a hidden source of evidence for all of them. Penny Cox Caldwell and her family have been investigating Mount Sinai since 1992, and have more boots-on-the-ground time in Arabia than any other explorers known. The "God of the Mountain" is the true story of their discoveries, taken directly from Penny's journal.
Penny and Jim Caldwell lived in Saudi Arabia with their two kids in the 1980s. It was here that Penny became an avid desert explorer. In January 1992 while taking a family vacation into Egypt, a series of events changed their lives forever, propelling them into the search for the real Mount Sinai.
The first part of the book recounts the family's journey from Saudi Arabia to Egypt and their adventures throughout Egypt. Caldwell gives lively play-by-play stories of their experiences living in this new land.
The last part of the book is a description of the Caldwell’s journeys to Jabel Lawz and areas near northwest Saudi Arabia, where they searched for evidence of the Exodus and the real Mount Sinai. Penny recounts their discoveries of biblical evidence that lead them to believe that Jabel Lawz must be the site of the biblical Mount Horeb and why Jabel Maqla could very well be the site of Mount Sinai.
The authors of this book now travel around the country speaking about their amazing discoveries. They are also featured in the documentary film, "Mountain of Fire."
